Rise in active cases shown to be larger than reported number of new cases
The difference between the number of new coronavirus cases and the rise in active cases is due to a 'lag in reporting'.
The most recent figures published on government's dashboard show 95 new cases but the number of active cases rose by 233 in the same 24-hour period.
In a statement released to Manx Radio government says this is because the process of tallying is manual and the current volumes mean there is a lag.
Work to find a solution to resolve the issue is ongoing.
