Pharmacist allowed to return under certain conditions
Castle Pharmacy in Castletown can reopen with pharmacist Mahendrakumar Prabhudas Patel operating under certain conditions.
In May the Department of Health and Social Care announced it would close following Mr Patel's suspension by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC) following a fitness to practice hearing.
However the chemist has been returned to the Register of Pharmacists under conditions set by the GPC which include supervision by another named pharmacist.
In a statement, the DHSC says it welcomes the outcome and will continue to monitor the situation.
