Castletown Commissioner's has cancelled its Christmas light switch on this weekend.

It's due to the amber weather warning issued for Saturday (7 December).

In a post on social media the local authority says it's 'deeply' disappointed but says that safety must come first.

The commissioners have thanked those who were involved in organising the event and say they're exploring other options to celebrate the festive season in the town.
