Chair Beth Cannan says no 'special considerations' are given to former politicians
The chair of Castletown Commissioners says two former MHKs were invited to meet about the closure of Market Square to vehicles during winter, but they did not attend.
Chair Beth Cannan said she is 'sincerely grateful' to residents, including former board members, who show ongoing interest in Castletown’s affairs and regularly attend the monthly public meetings.
Mrs Cannan has also confirmed she won't be attending the public meeting at the end of the month and won't be giving 'special considerations' to people who don't represent the town anywhere.
Mr Brown and Mr Ronan have called a meeting on the 28 November at Morton Hall to discuss the decision made by the local authority.
