Local authority was made aware of the incident from a post on social media
Castletown Commissioners have reported two people to the police for attempting to flood its public toilets last night.
The local authority says in a statement that the taps had been left running whilst the sink and toilets were blocked.
It says they were made aware of the incident through a social media comment in a closed group and thanked a resident who turned the taps off after seeing water flowing from under the door.
The commissioners are encouraging people to report any such incidents or antisocial behaviour to the town hall on 825 005 or the constabulary on 822 222.
