Number of events for commemoration
Castletown Metropolitan Football Club (CMFC) is set to celebrate the 75th anniversary of its stadium this weekend.
Opened on 2 May in 1950, 'The Stadium' hosted current FC Isle of Man North West Counties League opponents South Liverpool in front of several thousand spectators.
To commemorate the day, CMFC will host a number of events on Friday, 2 May and Saturday, 3 May .
Activities include a family treasure hunt, family quiz, collections of memorabilia and live music.
Club Chairman Patty Quinney explains the importance of the stadium in Manx football:
The Friday event will begin at 7pm, while Saturday will start at 3pm - 5pm and then again from 7pm until midnight.
