More than 600 people currently waiting for operation
Manx patients needing cataract surgery currently face a wait of around 10 months.
Those booked in for operations in June have been on the waiting list for 290 days, according to figures revealed in this month's sitting of Tynwald.
There are currently 663 patients awaiting treatment, with 64 surgeries carried out each month.
The statistics also show patients referred to an ophthalmologist for an urgent matter are seen within an average of 137 days, while routine cases wait around 467 days.
The Department of Health and Social Care says it's working on a new care plan to reduce waiting times across the healthcare system.
