UK admits its vessel almost sank trawler
The Celtic League says it’s surprised by the news a British submarine was behind an incident which almost sank a fishing vessel off the Island’s coast earlier this year.
In April, the MV Karen, from Northern Ireland, suffered £10,000 of damage when it snagged something in its nets.
Yesterday, the UK’s Ministry of Defence cleared up the mystery – admitting a British submarine had snagged nets after misidentifying the vessel.
