First batch of prizes awarded on Wednesday
The first batch of prizes for the Celtic Media Festival have been awarded at the event's official opening at the Villa Marina in Douglas.
Yesterday (3 May) following speeches from Garff MHK Daphne Caine and Culture Vannin's Adrian Cain, the three day celebration of regional media kicked into full gear as the first award's ceremony began.
Winners in best Sports Documentary, Animation, Current Affairs and Entertainment were all announced, with Irish Broadcaster RTE taking home three accolades.
There's still a host of other categories to be announced in the coming days, with Culture Vannin, MTTV and Manx Radio all in the mix for prizes.
Representatives from all four corners of the Celtic world said they were impressed with the Island's language and culture:
