Living wage is now £12.01
It's important that people on the Isle of Man earn a decent wage so they can participate in society.
That's according to Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson.
The Living Wage - a voluntary rate designed to help people afford basic opportunities, goods and services, has gone up to £12.01 per hour.
It's an increase of 96p over the last year.
Dr Allinson says the increase will not affect businesses and that it's important to merge minimum wage and living wage by 2025:
However, the Chamber of Commerce says whilst it fully supports a realistic living wage for all, there is growing concerns from businesses across multiple sectors.
