Island-wide Heritage Open Day weekend kicks off in the capital
Douglas town hall is throwing open its doors today (10 Oct) as part of the Island-wide Heritage Open Day weekend.
You can walk through the ornate council chamber, visit the mayor's parlour and see where debates and decisions are made, in the main committee room.
There's also a unique display of aerial shots of Douglas from the mid-1930's, showing how the capital looked in its tourist heyday.
Council leader David Christian says it's a great chance to see inside a town centre landmark.
Douglas town hall is open to the public today from 11am - 2pm and admission to the display and tour is free.
You can visit other sites around the Island not normally open to the public this weekend.
