Manannan to cover two sailings tomorrow
The Steam Packet Company has been forced to change its timetable over the coming days due to increased silting in Heysham.
The Manannan will operate two sailings tomorrow in place of the Ben-my-Chree, departing for Heysham at 8.45am and returning at 2.15pm, while tonight's departure to Heysham will go an hour later than originally scheduled.
Ben-my-Chree services from 7.45pm tomorrow until 2.15am on Friday have all been brought forward with the exception of the 7.45pm crossing on Thursday.
The operator says the changes are necessary to work around the water depths available and allow sailing crews to maintain work and rest patterns.
It's believed the situation in Heysham may have been worsened by the recent adverse weather.
Full details of all the alterations can be found on the Steam Packet's website. Those booked to travel on the affected sailings will be contacted by the company's reservations team.
