It's due to berth depth issues in Douglas as a result of low tides
A number of Steam Packet sailings are being re-scheduled next week due to berth depth issues in Douglas as a result of low tides.
The changes run from Monday the 6th of May to Saturday the 11th, and only affect Heysham sailings using the King Edward Pier linkspan.
The low tides coincide with scheduled arrival and departure times and affect both Manxman and Ben-my-Chree, which will operate Tuesday's daytime return sailing to and from Heysham due to planned maintenance of safety equipment aboard Manxman.
Ben-my-Chree will also be drafted in to operate additional freight sailings on Wednesday and Thursday to ensure changes to schedules don't affect freight supplies.
