After a near four-year investigation, charges against the Island's Attorney General have been dropped.
Fifty-two year-old Stephen Harding has been acquitted at a hearing at Douglas courthouse.
He had always denied a charge of perjury and committing acts against public justice, relating to the winding-up of Island business Street Heritage in 2010.
He has been suspended from his position as the government’s senior legal adviser since October 2012.
Mr Harding twice stood trial and on both occasions the jury was discharged after failing to reach a verdict.
