One World Charity Challenge final takes place tonight
The final stage on an inter-school charity competition will take place in the north of the Island tonight (26 March).
Teams of Year 12 students have been taking on the One World Centre Charity Challenge, pitching ideas to win funding for an international charity of their choice.
The Grand Final takes place this evening at the Mountain View Innovation Centre in Ramsey, with eight groups hoping to gain the support of the panel of judges.
Charity co-ordinator Wendy Shimmin explains the impact the programme can have on the students:
Over 33 teams started in the competition, and each group in the final will win a cash prize for their chosen charity, but just how much depends on where they finish.
