'Powerful anaesthetic' could cause irreversible damage
Manx addiction charity Motiv8 has shared a warning regarding the recreational use of Ketamine on the Island.
It says it's become aware of a number of people using, and becoming addicted to, the drug which is licenced to be used clinically as a powerful anaesthetic.
A highly addictive drug, Motiv8 says the drug's popularity is still on the rise and people are experiencing severe harms as a result of become reliant on it.
The charity is warning of the possible side effects from Ketamine use such as irreversible damage to the bladder, causing significant pain and perpetual incontinence.
