A new monthly lunch-club has been launched by a charity which looks to combat loneliness.
Southern Befrienders invites police offers to chat with attendees on various community issues they may otherwise fear to report or discuss.
Frequently when officers issue warnings of scams, we're told vulnerable and elderly are likely to fall foul and become victims.
Scheme Manager Suzanne Geoghegan told Manx Radio that's something they're hoping to address:
