
Island charity ManxAid is appealing to local residents for any information they have on relatives of victims of the Ellan Vannin tragedy.
Manx Aid has agreed to organise future commemoration services in Ramsey, on the anniversary of the ship's loss, on 3rd December each year.
The Steam Packet vessel sank in the river Mersey with the loss with 35 passengers and crew in 1909.
Until now commemoration arrangments have been in the hands of Liverpool-based enthusiast on the history of the tragedy Harry Edmundson.
But he wants a Manx organisation to take over to ensure the event is remembered for years to come.
