Manx Deaf Society holding session as part of Deaf Awareness Week
This week marks Deaf Awareness Week and according to the Manx Deaf Society, one in six people are experiencing signs of hearing loss.
On Friday (9 May) the organisation is hosting a session to mark Deaf Awareness Week at its headquarters in Douglas.
But earlier this year it held a 'Hearing Off, Awareness On' campaign to give hearing people the chance to understand what it's like living with hearing loss.
Teams of four had to navigate through Douglas with earplugs and ear defenders on, ask for directions, and try to purchase items at local stores.
