Donations to help fund new equipment
A Manx charity is celebrating the new year by passing the £2 million fundraising mark.
The sum's been achieved just over three years after an appeal was launched by the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group for a dedicated breast unit at Noble's hospital.
The complex - built, furnished and equipped with donations from the Manx public - opened last year.
But donations large and small have continued to pour in, and now the charity's aiming to fund more treatments, including inter-operative radio therapy.
Group chairman Julie Stokes says it could benefit many Island patients.
