Insurance advice from police
Police are warning drivers to make sure they’re properly insured if they’re using their own vehicles to work as delivery drivers.
Officers say they’ve spotted a number of job adverts for drivers where companies ask prospective employees to use their own vehicles.
But they say any vehicle used for business purposes has to have proper insurance cover: otherwise motorists could end up facing hefty fine in court.
Their advice is to ask your insurance company to make sure your policy covers you.
