Felling work at Chibbanagh plantation has been completed and the recreational site will be available to the public again in the next few days.
The work at the Braaid plantation has been carried out to try and prevent the spread of phytophthora ramorum, or sudden oak death, a disease which primarily affects larch trees but can spread to other plants as well.
It has decimated the larch tree population throughout the UK.
The felled trees have been taken to the St Johns sawmill to be processed.
