Chris Thomas speculates Alfred Cannan will stand down before long
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas has accused the chief minister of being a 'prisoner inside his own Council of Ministers' following his dismissal from his political role within the Department of Health and Social Care.
Government stated that Mr Thomas should have resigned after backing a vote of no confidence in Alfred Cannan's leadership, arguing he had 'directly undermined' the relationship between the minister and departmental member.
Mr Cannan has described the situation as 'regrettable'.
However, Mr Thomas believes it won’t be long before the chief minister steps down on his own:
