Beaten to the top spot by Stephen Broad
The chief minister has admitted he found the 2026 General Election campaign ‘very humbling’.
Alfred Cannan managed to retain his seat in Ayre and Michael in a contest which unseated his enterprise minister, and constituency colleague, Tim Johnston.
But he didn’t top the poll.
He secured 1090 votes - more than 500 behind newcomer Stephen Broad who collected 1680.
