Alfred Cannan denies sudden departure of Andy Ralphs damages his administration
The chief minister has revealed he was only informed of the chief executive’s resignation one week before it was publicly announced.
In an unexpected statement released earlier this week, government confirmed that Andy Ralphs would be stepping down from the most senior role in the civil service with just a week’s notice.
The current Chief Officer of the Department for Enterprise, Mark Lewin will take on the role in the interim.

Meanwhile, Onchan MHK Julie Edge believes Mr Lewin has more experience and hopes he'll stabilise the ship.
