
Chief Minister Allan Bell says useful connections have been made at this week's Labour party conference.
Mr Bell led a Manx delegation to the gathering in Manchester, where Labour leader Ed Miliband made an acclaimed keynote speech.
During the visit, Mr Bell held informal talks with Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls and Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Liam Byrne.
He also held discussions with senior labour leaders from the north west of England, cementing trade links.
Mr Bell told MTTV engaging with UK politicians hasn't always prevented criticism of offshore jurisdictions - but he's confident building ties long-term is worthwhile:
