Hosepipe ban now in operation
The Chief Minister has given his support to the national hosepipe ban, and warned more serious measures could be on the way if it isn't respected.
Manx Utilities has enforced the restriction for homeowners, as reservoir levels continue to decrease.
Despite the weather turning wetter this week, rainfall is not expected to return to normal levels until at least October - and even that will not be enough to replenish reserves.
Using a hosepipe or sprinkler can double an average family's water use.
