Shipping and navigation could be impacted, fears Cannan
The Chief Minister has written to the UK's Levelling Up Secretary to express concern about the impact offshore windfarms could have on shipping and navigation in the Irish Sea.
Alfred Cannan confirmed he's contacted Michael Gove in relation to plans for the Morgan, Mona and Morecambe Bay windfarms.
He also revealed the Island's Territorial Sea Committee has submitted a number of representations to planners relating to the proposed developments, which could impact Steam Packet Company routes.
The details were revealed in response to a Tynwald written question from the Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson.
