Douglas East member previously called for government to take action
An MHK who's been calling for the chief minister to lobby the UK government over the ongoing conflict in Gaza has welcomed Alfred Cannan's letter to the UK's Lord Chancellor.
Last week, Mr Cannan wrote to Shabana Mahmood to highlight the Island's mounting concern for the humanitarian situation in the region, and support calls for a ceasefire.
It comes a week after Douglas East member Joney Faragher brought a motion to Tynwald urging government to take action.
She told Manx Radio she feels the wording fails to address the level of concern Island residents have expressed to her over the level of death, destruction and famine in the territory:
Inquest into death of MGP competitor reconvened
Chief minister calls extraordinary meeting to discuss impact of Middle East conflict
Government responds to reports linking new Iranian leader to Island-registered company
Manx Care reviewing pathways and support for those with suspected Covid-19 vaccine injury
Hopes traffic will be improved around Douglas amid road closure
