Education minister offers reassurances after pupil tests positive for coronavirus
Children are more likely to catch Covid-19 off an adult than one of their classmates.
That's the message from Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson after a pupil at St Mary's Primary School in Douglas tested positive for the illness, having attended classes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Contact tracing is underway among the youngster's classmates and year group, with all who attend at the school being asked to self-isolate until the process is completed.
Dr Allinson says this age group isn't associated with the spread of coronavirus:
