E-gaming was still the biggest sector in 2017/18
Having a 'diverse economy' helps protect the Island from overall economic turbulence.
That's the view of Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
E-gaming was the biggest contributor in the recently published National Income Report for 2017/18.
However, Mr Thomas says he's aware the past 12 months may have been slightly different for the sector:
We've seen two government reports recently, which give some indication of how the Manx economy is performing - the aforementioned National Income Report 2017/18, but also the Labour Market statistics for last month.
October showed a small increase in unemployment on the previous month, and a slightly higher figure than October 2018.
