The inquest into the death of a Douglas woman who died two weeks after she was hit by a car has heard evidence from an interview the driver of the vehicle gave police.
Thirty-seven year old Christina Collister died from complications following her discharge from hospital.
She had spent 16 days in Noble's with leg injuries following the accident in November 2011 outside the Ellan Vannin Gymnastics Club in Pulrose.
Joshua Brown, who was seventeen when the accident happened, had told police the road had been wet and muddy at the time which had caused the back end of his vehicle to slide.
He refuted claims that he was doing handbrake turns as Mrs Collister had suggested in her statement.
The inquest also heard Mr Brown had been in court earlier on the day of the accident to face one offence of drink driving and another of driving without due care and attention. He was later found guilty of both offences.
