Public urged to 'Drink Safe, Drive Safe, Go Safe'
Police are preparing for what they say is their busiest weekend of the season, alongside the launch of their annual Christmas awareness campaign.
Using the tagline 'Drink Safe, Drive Safe, Go Safe', officers are encouraging residents to take extra care as celebrations get underway - motorist, reveller or otherwise.
The Constabulary stresses the message goes beyond tackling drink-driving, although that does form a key part of the strategy.
Inspector Derek Flint says it pays to take care:

Douglas Council says it's currently 'assessing' damage to sunken gardens
Ramsey MHK concerned 'balance is not right' with flood defence plans
