Will avoid disturbing burial plots or tree roots
Plans have been submitted to repair and reinstate parts of a church cemetery's wall.
Onchan Burial Authority has submitted the application for St Peter's Church on Church Road.
A stretch of the western boundary wall, which backs onto Royal Court on Royal Avenue, has collapsed and several lengths have been identified as structurally distressed.
An additional document says most of the work will only require repair and strengthening but some sections may require replacement.
Where that is the case the authority says it will work around existing tree roots, and graves, and take care to ensure there are no deep excavations.
