Dr Gomes presented two petitions to Tynwald
There's too much power at the top of the Anglican church.
That's according to local reverend Dr Jules Gomes, who presented two petitions for redress of grievance at Tynwald Day on Monday.
One called for greater employment rights for clergy and the other for tighter racial harassment laws in the Island.
Bishop Robert Paterson has told Manx Radio that he cannot comment on the allegations.
Dr Gomes is vicar of St Mary's on the Harbour in Castletown and St Columba's in Arbory.
He has described the church as 'too monarchical':
