Liquidator to be appointed
Citywing's directors say a liquidator is to be appointed, who will advise on how to get refunds on tickets in due course.
There will also be guidance on the UK Civil Aviation Authority website - https://www.caa.co.uk/home/ - from Monday.
The directors of the Island-based ticket seller posted a statement on Facebook late last night, confirming their decision to go into liquidation.
Citywing flights have been cancelled with immediate effect - you're urged to not turn up at the airport if you're booked with the ticket seller, as there will be no one there to help you.
The statement says as a result of Van Air losing its route licenses on Friday, 24 February, the company has found it difficult to source suitable aircraft to fulfill its contracts.
It adds that Citywing has tried to offer a service while suffering considerable losses but these have proved to be commercially unsustainable.
