Certain restrictions to be in place
The Isle of Man's civic amenity sites are reopening from Friday morning.
It's 8am on Friday for the eastern and western ones and 10am on Saturday for the northern and southern ones.
The northern site is operating an appointments system, which can be accessed using their website or by ringing 810100: the eastern, southern and western sites are using a queuing system.
For operational reasons, the opening hours and the types of waste that can be disposed of may vary slightly, but the sites will all take burnable household waste and green waste.
You're urged to avoid an unnecessary journey by calling your local authority or check their website or Facebook page for details.
To maintain social distancing the number of vehicles allowed on a site at any one time will be limited, and staff won't be able to help you with items, so bring along someone from your household if you need assistance.
The re-use sheds will remain closed for the time being but the recycling bring banks around the Island will open on Friday.
You're told to be careful when driving in these areas, expect queues over the first few weeks and be patient.
