Crown Dependency leaders meet with UK parliamentarians
The leaders of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man say they have taken "a proactive step to ensure the Crown Dependencies remain among global leaders in matters of transparency and financial services regulation."
Representatives met with UK parliamentarians in London yesterday (Wed 19), to discuss a commitment made by the islands to begin adopting public registers of beneficial ownership.
A joint statement said: "we had frank and constructive discussions about the implementation of the commitment and the indicative timetable we have outlined."
The Manx government says the move "has been welcomed across the UK political spectrum."
