A union leader says with more bus strikes in the pipeline, arbitration is now the only way to solve the bus dispute.
Bobby Morton of Unite was speaking after announcing a further half-day strike on Thursday next week.
It’s the second stoppage in a row over pay and conditions, which the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure wants to scrap in a bid to save £300,000 a year.
Mr Morton says there’s now no realistic hope of the two sides reaching agreement themselves:
'Deterrent' sentence imposed for ketamine importer
Several sailings at risk or cancelled due to adverse weather
Glencrutchery Road to close to northbound traffic
MHK's shock over Hospice announcement
Sulby Straight closure in place this weekend
