Evidence 'far from conclusive'
Taking a Vitamin D supplement every day will do no harm, although claims it might help prevent severe Covid infection are still being reviewed.
Dr John Snelling from Peel Medical Centre says there is growing evidence the vitamin may have some bearing on the immune system, but the evidence is far from conclusive.
Known widely as the 'sunshine vitamin', it's created in the body through the absorption of sunlight.
Dr John says that's why some people will naturally be deficient at this time of year:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
