Sister of health minister behind initiative
The sister of the Island's health minister is urging the public to clap for government workers on Tynwald Day.
Christina Cowin is asking Manx residents to recognise the efforts of those in government, manning the 111 line and working on contact tracing during the coronavirus crisis.
It will take place on Sunday 5 July at 7pm, and those taking part are being encouraged to share videos of the occasion on social media.
To mark the event, several landmarks such as the Town Hall, Tower of Refuge, and Pulrose Power Station in Douglas, as well as the Ramsey Swing Bridge.
