Member makes quick return to department
Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison has returned to the health department, just over a month after resigning.
Miss Bettison stood down from her role in early December, the second departmental member to leave in nine months.
However, the appointment of a new minister this week in David Ashford means she will return as a political member.
He believes Miss Bettison, who was a registered nurse before being elected in September 2016, will be ‘a valuable asset to the team.’
