First race of 2015 event on Saturday afternoon
After a week of bad weather and numerous curtailed practice sessions, the first race day of the 2015 Festival of Motorcycling is finally here.
Friday night's session saw good conditions and plenty of laps logged, building on Thursday's one, which was the first full one of the week.
But Conor Cummins has decided to not start today's race, saying his bike's mechanical problems have made it unsafe to do so.
Cummins retired at Glen Helen on the first lap of Friday night's session, with smoke reportedly coming out out of his machine.
Roads around the Mountain Course close at 11am, with qualifying sessions and parade laps due to take place either side of the day's one race - the four-lap, 500cc Classic TT.
