Meanwhile, there have been reports of thunder and lightning across the Island this morning (Sat), knocking out power in some households and heavy downpours of rain and hail have made roads and pavements slippery in places. Drivers are warned to take extra care.
The King Edward Road in Onchan and Shore Road in Gansey are now open again after being closed following storm damage.
Ferry services are operating as normal after cancellations in the high winds yesterday, but the papers are reported as being around one and half hours late in the shops.
