80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050
The environment minister is calling on businesses and individuals alike to work with his department to try and achieve new climate change targets.
Tynwald approved the strategy last week, and Richard Ronan is keen to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
The aim is to reach an 80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The ambition is long-term, but will be broken down into a series of five-year plans.
Mr Ronan says that should make things more achievable:

£41K spent on encouraging people to shop local
Baton of Hope to come back to Isle of Man
CoC 'keen' for continuity of sidecar racing at TT
2026 Manx Grand Prix to begin today
