A look back on discussions in Tynwald yesterday
Shortly before 5:30pm yesterday, following more than two hours of debate, Tynwald backed the establishment of an independently-led, dedicated climate emergency transformation team.
That followed an even longer debate in last month's sitting, when the two houses failed to agree on an amendment tabled by the environment minister, which meant the issue was adjourned so a combined vote could take place this week.
But with yesterday's developments, the court has now officially acknowledged the climate change 'emergency' currently facing the Island, and the world.
