Santon man denies charges
The case for and against a Santon man accused of causing the fire at the Mount Murray hotel three years ago will be outlined today (Tuesday).
At Douglas Courthouse, the prosecution and defence will sum up for the jury in the trial of 64 year-old roofer Roy Cross.
He denies breaching health and safety regulations after using a blow torch to dry out roof timbers when working at the hotel in November 2013.
Once the summing up is complete, Deemster Main-Thompson will present his closing address to the jury of six men and one woman.
