Rapid response from volunteer services
The Coastguard, Civil Defence and the Search and Rescue Dog Association assisted police in a coordinated effort to find a missing person yesterday (31 Jan).
A woman named Rachel, who was defined as a 'high risk missing person', was located early yesterday afternoon after a rapid response from the agencies involved.
The efforts of volunteers and officers were praised by Chief Constable Gary Roberts, who wrote on Twitter how their efforts were 'critically important' to the search and rescue.
