Coastguard and RNLI save lives of capsized dinghy crew

Crews were paged at 18.05 and returned to base at 21.30

Peel Coastguard responded to an incident that lasted more than three hours last night at the back of Peel Castle. (19 June)

A small sailing dinghy had capsized and the people who were onboard were being blown out to sea.

Peel's RNLI Lifeboat recovered the casualties - who are unharmed - and brought them back to shore.

The dinghy was also recovered and towed back to Peel breakwater where it was re-floated.
