Aircraft stepped in when air ambulance unavailable
A coastguard helicopter was called out to urgently transfer a patient to Liverpool this afternoon.
It's been confirmed by government following sightings of the aircraft over Douglas, heading to Noble's Hospital.
The 'fixed wing air ambulance' was out on another transfer, which is why the coastguard was called upon to help.
